Reusing Stepper Motors
Over the years I have collected many useful looking stepper motors, now it is time to start using them!
| Common stepper motor configurations have 4, 5 or 6 wires corresponding to phases wired as follows: | ||

| 4 wire bipolar stepper motor | 6 wire unipolar stepper motor (drive as bipolar by ignoring centre tap) | 5 wire unipolar stepper motor (unipolar drive only) |

Recovered stepper motors
On the sidebar there is a list of stepper motors that I have recovered from various pieces of scrap equipment and the linked pages include basic motor specifications and connection details.
