Tear down

  • The case would be water resistant, but would not survive being immersed in water, it is not water proof.
  • The battery in my sample is rated at 4000mAh, not 8000mAh as stated (and printed on the case).
  • The solar cell is not really a practical way of charging the battery. In the best conditions, with 100% efficiency it will take 40 hours to charge a 8000mAh battery. So under the best condition, with 8 hours of strong sunshine a day, it would take 5 days to charge. Perhaps if you were marooned on a desert island near the equator, it would be useful, … if there was also cellphone coverage there …
