        <description>Overview

In the late 1970's an evaluation kit for the Intersil all in one Analog to Digital (ADC) chips with built in display drivers, ICL 7106 (LCD) and ICL 7107 (LED), was produced.   These very successful chips are still produced today and are the engine of many digital multimeters.  Although the boards are labeled “Intersil ICL7106 Evaluation Kit” , I'm not actually sure whether they were manufactured by Intersil.</description>

System operation

On power on the red LED should light, then within 2 seconds the combustion air compressor fan should start up.  After running 15 seconds there should be the sound of the gas being turned on and the gas should be ignited and visible in the viewing window.  After heating for a while the convection fans should switch on (about 40 seconds after ignition).</description>
