\\ ===== Overview ===== There are lots of floppy disk formats that it would be nice to be able to read without actually having to have the original computer to read them. Eg Amiga format disks, variable speed Apple drives etc. There appear to be quite a few projects out there with various implementations. Initially this project will just be a place to collect and document ideas. ===== Hardware description ===== ====== References and Additional Resources ====== * [[https://create.arduino.cc/projecthub/RobSmithDev/arduino-amiga-floppy-disk-reader-writer-v2-2-239c97]] * [[http://amiga.robsmithdev.co.uk|Arduino Amiga Floppy Disk Reader/Writer]] * [[https://hackaday.com/2021/03/30/a-floppy-controller-for-the-raspberry-pi/]] * [[https://hackaday.com/2021/04/30/an-arduino-with-a-floppy-drive/]] * [[https://www.hackster.io/news/david-hansel-s-arduinofdc-converts-an-arduino-into-a-usb-floppy-drive-controller-9e242b50161e]] * [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZ9xhFkHZ5c|Why most 5.25" Floppy Drives seem broken, but aren't!]] * [[https://hackaday.com/2013/02/07/usb-apple-disk-emulator/]] * [[https://hackaday.io/project/487-apple-ii-avrspi-disk-emulator|Apple II AVR/SPI Disk Emulator]] * [[https://archive.org/details/apple_ii_library_4am]] * [[http://schmenk.is-a-geek.com/wordpress/?p=239|Apple II + Arduino + SD Card + SdFat = A2SdFat!]]If any referenced page no longer exists, try looking for its URL on http://archive.org.
